"Chocobarocco" in Modica (Sicily)

October 28-November 1 in Modica (Ragusa, Sicily) -
From 28 October to 1 November 2011 it will be time for the new edition of "Chocobarocco Modica 2011", event that focuses attention on the artisanal chocolate from Modica. Unique location of the event, the magnificent historical center of the city: squares, halls of the late Baroque palaces, terraces and auditorium will host all the cultural events. The protagonist is, however, the chocolate: it will be possible to see the craftsmen producing in special workshops equipped with alle the original tools.  For five days and five nights, the sweetest of the year, it will be a great feast: Town Hall Square will host even the reproduction of a great Aztec pyramid, whose civilization by the Spanish learned the recipe of chocolate, topped by an hourglass that will not flow sand, but cocoa. All along Corso Umberto, on terraces, roofs and walls will alternate during the five days various artists from the "Cirque du Soleil" and the major academies of the world. Percussionists, flutists, violinists, actors and acrobats enliven the nights of the event.
