7-9 October in Lavagna (Genoa) -

In Lavagna, near Genoa, it's time for "Pesto e dintorni", an exhibition dedicated to regional Ligurian sauce par excellence, as well as the "Magnificent Seven": basil, garlic, olive oil, salt, pine nuts, pecorino and parmesan cheese, unique elements necessary to create the "authentic" pesto. "Pesto e dintorni" is conceived for displaying products of Liguria, with tasting workshops, exhibitions, courses and thematic meetings. The event also wants to encourage all food products of Liguria, including fish, from the territory, becoming an event not to be missed for an audience that shares the philosophy of knowledge of the region through its quality products. Among the novelties of 2011, the Auditorium of the pesto, prepared at the Auditorium Campodonico, where the chefs will perform and present their recipes and the first workshop between demand and supply. Time of event: Friday, October 7 from 15 to 20 hours, Saturday 8 and Sunday, October 9 from 10 am to 20.
